Touching Base...

Hello Educators. How are you doing? It has been a while since we've connected and today's post will be short. I decided a few weeks ago to take a break from writing just to regroup, recharge, and come back a bit refreshed. I am hoping you had the opportunity to do the same before starting a new school year. This season has quickly become one that feels like 24 hours just is not sufficient for the demands of the day. I will resume my full blog post writing next week as I take a bit of time to finish pulling a few deliverables together today but am excited to rejoin our journey this year together next Sunday.

Before I sign off, let me just say that I am not working in a district or school and certainly feel the weight of reopening so I can only imagine the position you are in and the sentiment you feel. This year is going to be one like none other. It will require us to push in ways that we may not have thought imaginable. Let's choose to remember that we have been given the internal strength and fortitude to weather the storm and show up in a way that will make the difference for ourselves and for those we have chosen to serve. Nelson Mandela said it best when he said...

"It always seems impossible until it's done."

This year, we are pushing into the impossible and creating learning environments that were once only dreamed of and talked about. Take care of yourself and take care of others as you create a new and hopeful reality for the students you support.

In solidarity and love,

Bloodine
